All students are expected to arrive to each of their lessons physically and emotionally prepared.

Students are expected to report any performances and dress rehearsals to me, a reasonable amount of time before they occur. I always make an effort to attend these events when my schedule permits, as they provide valuable information to me about your performance progress.

All students are asked to wash their hands upon arrival at the studio. Please remember to do this BEFORE each lesson, so that no time is wasted.

Parents and students are kindly asked not to leave their cars unattended in the driveway while waiting, but rather on the street to the right of the driveway.

Students and families are kindly asked to remove their shoes upon entering the front door. If you have a particular concern with this request, please speak with me. There are coat hooks for wet outerwear behind the front door.

Students and families are welcome to wait in the living room or sit at the dining room table. I ask that you please respect your surroundings while you wait. No food or drink (with the exception of water) is allowed in the living room. Please confine snack time to the dining room table. Siblings are welcome to use pencils, crayons or colored pencils while waiting. No pens, paint or markers are allowed. No running in the house, please.

Due to the close proximity of the studio and the waiting area, please keep the noise level to a minimum so as not to disturb the lesson.

Due to the nature of my teaching schedule, I ask that you do not use the lesson time (before or after) to discuss lengthy issues. I would be more than happy to call you later that evening or the next morning to discuss any concerns you have so that I can give you my full, undivided attention.
